Griffin has been providing innovative solutions in pump technologies since it was founded in the Bronx Borough of New York City in 1934 by the Griffin family. Today, the company makes progressive pumps under categories like wellpoint, jet, submersible, variable, silent and trash. In the video below, the company discusses trash pumps. Trash pumps, and in particular, centrifugal trash pumps come in many types and variations. Other names for the trash pumps include non-clog or solids handling pumps, among others. Different styles can be self priming, compressor assist prime, vacuum assist prime or submersible.
